    The Importance of Leg Yielding

Leg yielding has may uses. In basic terms it helps to make the horse more supple, get the horse in front of the rider’s leg and connect the horse from inside leg to outside rein note. Hannah Esberger explains...

    Lenny Tries his Heart Out

I was so thrilled with Lenny at the Nationals. He tried his heart out for me and that's all you can ask of your horse!

    Under Par

The lead up to the regionals at Port Royal had been good until Lenny threw an abscess. He was very brave with it, never the less he was just under par and Potter was just not happy there - sadly it was not to be our year.

    Port Royal Regionals!

I’m feeling really excited about the approaching Regionals at Port Royal. Preperations are going well with planning down to the last detail. I have a checklist for the lorry – grooming kits, Dengie feed, clean saddlecloths, boots, saddles, bridles and that’s just the horses!

    Lenny Shines at Sheepgate

We had an awful journey to Sheepgate - the rain was pouring and when we arrived it was still raining! Things weren't looking any better when I went to warm up Lenny and it was clear he wasn't happy.

    Birthday Surprises

Lenny did us proud at his first PSG at Sheepgate last week. He scored 69.87% earning him 14th place in a strong class. He then went on to be placed 5th in the Advanced Medium with 68.7% - a great result especially as it was Lenny's owner Jo Byrnes' birthday.

    New Faces

We have two new faces on the yard. The first is Queenie. She is an adorable four-year-old Wynton mare, bred by Laurie and Kerrie Ibbotson. The second is Molly's new pony too, Elvis (Synod Mr Vegas) - he is gorgeous and Molly already loves him.

    Lenny’s Trip to Nationals

We have had a fantastic weekend at the Nationals. Lenny pulled out a great couple of tests, a few imperfections but he really tried and stayed with me. We are now working hard to do his first PSG in three weeks at Addington Premier League.

    Good Results For The Boys

My boys Potter and Lenny went to Field House last week. Potter won one class and came second in the other and Lenny was second in both of his. Between you and me, the scoring was off as I thought Potter did his best ever tests and should have scored 70% or more, but he only came home with 66%
