Up and Coming Young Riders
Well it has been testing few weeks! I was due to go to Beaver Hall for a ‘quiet’ Inter II but as I was the only entrant they didn’t run it.
Then Molly was very poorly which gave us all a bit of a shock. However, she’s now made a full recovery and so we’re off to Northern BYRDS camp. Our regional leader Sarah Huntridge and her team of helpers were fantastic in arranging a great weekend – they even managed to organise some good weather!
Within ten minutes of arriving Molly had five new friends! Molly did her Fledgling Rider test; judges Cherry Elvin and Kim Ratcliffe did an excellent job balancing encouragement with constructive criticisim. On Sunday Molly chose to do a Prelim test rather than an Intro – a full size arena plus canter work which resulted in a fabulous 64%!!
These camps are so good for our young up and coming riders – we came away with medals, badges and rosettes!
For me, I’m scheduled to go to Myerscough and Wellington Premier; I’ll keep you posted on how things go.
