Training with the Wallabies

Having missed Burnham Market last week due to being snowed in, it was a great relief to actually get out and about with the horses over the weekend!

Buck and sparkle went BSJA at Richmond, both jumped well. Buck was the star coming home with a winning rosette!

On Monday we went back to Richmond to take part in the arena event, a mixture of SJ and XC fences. Sonyk had his first jumping outing in a year and a half and was fab, he jumped clear to come 5th (there was an optimum time) and Maisie was also there for her first ever jumping competition! She was brilliant but just had an unlucky pole in the double!

Carrot has been at team training today (near Hungerford) at Boomerang Stables. We had an individual dressage lesson where we worked on getting him really soft in all the lateral work, then ran through the team test and finally had a jumping session where we worked on straightness on approach and landing. Buck went down with us so that I could use the fab XC facilities they have there - the ground was almost hard, amazing considering we still have snow and mud up to the horse's knees in the fields! While we were at Boomerang we had to admire the wallabies and their babies!!
