Winning Display by Wynnstay
A retail display competition organised by Dengie to promote its Healthy Tummy fibre feed has run throughout the Wynnstay group of stores, with all branches battling it out to create the best example of effective visual merchandising.
Wynnstay staff pulled out all the stops, going head to the head with their retail colleagues around the country but, in the end, it was the Oswestry store that proved the clear winner with its carefully created display using colour-matched props, neatly drawn diagrams of the digestive system and open bales of Healthy Tummy, with an invitation to handle and smell this low-starch, low-sugar, short-chopped fibre feed.
All members of staff at the store – manager Ian Davies, Adam Law, Eifion Matthews, Ian Wilson, Alan McKinnon, Mark Lawrence, Clint Roberts, Arwel Matthews and equine specialists Sheenagh Pearson and Jayne Martin – celebrated their win with a team lunch courtesy of Dengie area manager Laura Dolphin, who popped along to congratulate them on their success.
“What a fantastic display,” she said. “The team here has taken a great deal of time and put a lot of thought into making sure that it not only looked extremely attractive, but also was highly informative, with lively artwork and smartly printed sheets explaining the benefits of a healthy fibre diet. Well done!”
Sheenagh Pearson, who masterminded the display, added: “It made a big difference to customer interest, which also created an increase in sales of Healthy Tummy. It was great fun to do and really improved my knowledge of the product – I certainly feed it to my horse, Bryn, a Cob x Arab, now.”
