Performance Fibre and Alfa-Beet – the perfect combination for keeping the fussy horse hydrated
Peanut may be that annoying best friend who eats all the cakes and never gains a pound, but he does like to keep his owner Amy Roberts on her toes!
In the leadup to ODEs and stayaway international events, Peanut can be prone to dropping weight as he’s naturally a bit of a worrier, so Amy sought out the help of Dengie Performance Horse Nutritionist, Claire Akers.
“Since feeding Dengie Performance Fibre and Alfa-Beet, I’ve been able to maintain his weight consistently throughout the season” comments Amy. “The combination not only keeps his appetite strong at events but is also a brilliant way of getting more fluids into him, as he’s not the biggest drinker when we’re away competing.”
“Peanut’s coat wasn’t great but once I switched him onto Dengie’s products it has improved dramatically — the difference has been incredible. He’s currently competing at Novice/1* level in eventing and Newcomers in BSJA, with multiple top 10 placings up to Novice. Our aim for 2026 is to move up to 2*/Intermediate. Peanut feels and looks fantastic, and I truly couldn’t be without these products as part of his feed regime.”
