Lisa Mancuso is an amateur eventer. She has two horses – ten-year-old ISH Prince Flynn, known as Flynn, and seven-year-old ISH Trigger IV, know as Trigger. Lisa and Flynn have competed successfully at BE100 level and qualified for the Mitsubushi Motors BE90 Grassroots Championships in 2016. It was a huge test, but they completed all three phases which was the aim; lots of smiles all round!
“Flynn is a pretty good doer with plenty of energy to burn, so he events off Hi-Fi Molasses Free. I chose Hi-Fi Molasses Free for two reasons – mainly because he’s a good doer, but also I like to be careful of how much sugar are in my horses diet. The quality fibre and low levels of sugar and starch means this is an ideal feed for him. He lives off a handful of this over the summer months with a vitamin and mineral supplement and, depending on his condition and workload, I just increase or reduce it as necessary – it’s easy! Even when we moved up a level competition-wise, he completed a whole season on just a scoop of Hi-Fi Molasses Free a day, plus a vitamin and mineral supplement. He has bags of controllable energy without the fizz which is great.”
“We’ve had a quiet time with Flynn just recently following a tendon injury, but his rehab has gone well and we’re back out hacking now. The plan is to have a quiet year mooching around the roads and tracks at home, and then well, we’ll see what happens. Flynn owes me nothing, I owe him everything, so if all we can do going forwards is hacking at home, well that suits me; but never say never…”
“I really do love the Dengie products because they’re so simple and easy to use – no hidden ingredients and, more importantly, easy to understand nutrition labels.”
