Accidents Will Happen

Just as things were looking up and the horses were all feeling better I manage to damage myself! I very stupidly managed to cut through two tendons in my finger whilst opening haylage on Tuesday night and had to have my hand operated on the following morning! I will now be sporting a very large plasta cast for the next few weeks, to make sure my fingers stay straight whilst the tendons repair!

On a more positive and exciting note we have two new additions to the yard! Both are 3-year-old bay geldings, Stanley (pictured right) is the full brother to Skipper and is currently being backed by the man I bought him from, and the other, Callie (pictured below) was bought by my lovely husband, Huw for me to bring on and event in the future. Callie came from the Clancey family near York and is a very exciting little horse by the stallion, Lux z. Jolyse Clancey and I went to the Junior European Championships together so we have know each other for a long time!

All the other horses are now unfortunately having an enforced holiday due to my injury. It won’t do them any harm to have a few weeks of chilling on some good grass and of course their Dengie Fibre diets!
