Candy wins at Great Witchingham

Well since my last blog we have had more events cancelled!! ….I really do hope this rain remembers to stop at some point! We did however manage to get a run at Great Witchingham with Candy in the CIC* and I’m very excited to say it was worth the 6 hour drive as she WON!! She did a lovely test to score 26.2 and go into the lead after the dressage, she showjumped beautifully and for some reason a pole fell..I have watched the video back numerous times and she didn’t touch the pole but heyho that’s Eventing! We set off XC just to have a nice run as it was her first event of the season, the ground was amazing especially after all the rain and snow that we have all had…and I felt like we just hacked round in a rhythm…it turns out I was the fastest in the section and only got 3 time faults so that meant I couldn’t be beaten! Amazing!! It was such a lovely event and we will definitely be returning in the future!

The other horses have been out and about BS as their events have all been off…Skip was meant to have a run tomorrow at Epworth just around the unaffiliated before his BE next week..but rain stops play once again! We did have a fun trip to Somerford yesterday though so they are still getting to do some XC!

Dengie’s Performance Horse Nutritionist, Claire Akers is hopefully coming this week to see the horses…the last catch up was sadly postponed due to snow!! It will be good to see what she thinks of their condition and help tweak any of the Dengie Diet plans they are on!

Hopefully the rain will stop and we will have some sunshine soon!!!!

Have a lovely Easter!!
