What a blast the British Dressage Young Horse Championships were, if slightly soggy from all the rain! I’m so proud of Iggy to have qualified and this was only his tenth time out,
It was a very different Nationals, but the organisation did superbly well. We were last to go (what a draw), Iggy was really very good and never let me down. He just kept with me, ignored the TV cameras and speakers.
The virus has made us all aware of things we take for granted. I have so missed teaching my clients and watching their progress and the worry of my family staying healthy, but on the positive side, the weather has been lovely and I have had time to do things I cannot normally do without the stress of time.
A week of celebrations for Team Esberger as Larry gains his qualification for the regionals and Molly is selected to represent the North at the Inter-regional Championships.
I took Harry out to Port Royal Equestrian to see how he coped with the whole competition scene and he didn’t disappoint!
I had a great training session at Carl Hester's this week! He loved my new boy AJ. Carl even said he would have bought him!
Well, how thrilled am I?! My new boy arrived last week and the following day, the sun was shining so I got on and he was so lovely and not silly at all!
We had a good trip to Somerford Premier and the weather was kind to us, even though all around us was raining. We also received some exciting news this month!
We had a great trip to Addington Premier with Lenny! On the first day he achieved 13th and on the second day he achieved 9th in the PSG’s.
It was pretty grim presenting Lenny for his Small Tour classes with all the rain and mud last weekend at Keysoe, but I'm pleased that all the competitors coped well with it.
It's been very exciting time at the yard as Flora (Don Tango x Furst Heinrich) has arrived back after being broken in by Jan Darwin at Richmond Equestrian Centre.
My training session at Carl Hester's was really good as always and I came away with lots to work on. Harry (Potters half brother..Magic Heidehofs Dylano) has only been off the yard once before so he was in for a real education.
